Hurricane Florence – Evacuation Destination

Hurricane Florence – Evacuation Destination

Many people are fleeing the coming Hurricane Florence in an effort to save their lives and those of their loved ones. Large areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia are being evacuated mandatorily, and many thousands will be left without shelter in the wake of the storm.

Located two hours west of Asheville (which equals two hours further inland), Murphy, NC is already the proposed destination of some seeking higher ground. Peachtree Cove RV Park currently has availability to host a limited number of guests.

Contact or call us today to make your reservation and secure place of increased safety from the storm.

New Picnic Tables for Peachtree Cove

New Picnic Tables for Peachtree Cove

It’s time to build some new tables for Peachtree Cove RV Park. Some of the old ones are still in use, but after years of enduring weather, we decided it was time to retire the old and replace with new. After all, could the camping experience be complete without a picnic table? 🙂 We found a pattern for the tables that uses synthetic decking, which would prove to be more weather resistant. It’s been a great project for the guys at our house, and they’ve been enjoying the process!

4th of July Cookout at Peachtree Cove RV Park

4th of July Cookout at Peachtree Cove RV Park

One of the traditional ways to celebrate 4th of July is to have a cookout. What fun it was to spend time with our guests here at Peachtree Cove who were in Murphy this year on Independence Day! We thoroughly enjoyed the hotdogs, the conversations, the laughter, the songs, the corn toss competition, the ice cream… it was a delightful July 4th gathering. We hope you will make plans to visit Peachtree Cove for July 4th, 2019!

Memorial Day Picnic at Peachtree Cove

What better way could there be to celebrate a holiday than to gather for a picnic? Even though it rained sporadically throughout the day, Saturday was a delightful day for a picnic at Peachtree Cove RV Park. Ideal temperatures. Fun conversations. Delicious food. The pavilion made a perfect gathering place, and we enjoyed the time with our guests.

Spring Snow in Murphy, NC

Spring arrived yesterday. Or at least that’s what the calendar says. According to our weather, it looks like spring was trying to come, but has been temporarily delayed for a few moments of quiet snow. Oh the beauties of the times and seasons, and the wonders that our Creator God puts in front of our eyes every day!
