The weekend of July 4th at Peachtree Cove was one to remember. One of our highlights was breakfast on the Blackstone at the park pavilion Saturday morning for all of our registered guests. From the grill we enjoyed bacon, chicken sausage links, sourdough pancakes, and scrambled eggs. Sourdough biscuits & sausage gravy, grits, and watermelon were also served with beverages including coffee, water, milk, and orange juice.

Local Celebrations for July 4!

Coming to the mountains of western North Carolina for a getaway the week of July 4th? Not sure where to go for local celebrations of the holiday? The towns of Andrews and Murphy, NC are going to be hosting their own celebrations on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Andrews’ celebratory event will take place at the Rec Park on Main Street. The fun will include food trucks, free activities, prizes, fireworks, and more — 11am to dark. Fireworks will start at dark:30. For more information, visit www.AndrewsNC.org.

The John C. Campbell Folk School Fall Festival is just around the corner! This festival, held in Brasstown, NC, is an annual celebration of Appalachian culture with activities for the entire family! Pony rides, craft vendors, music, face painting, quilt displays… the options are myriad. In addition, 30+ vendors will even be having live demonstrations of contemporary and historic crafts.
